My girls already eat quite a few of the General Mills line of cereals. Madison especially loves Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Mikayla is all about Lucky Charms.
One great thing about doing this review is that since it wasn't my money I was spending, I didn't hesitate to try one of their new cereals... Cookie Crisp with sprinkles.
Madison loves this stuff! I dare say she's even passionate about it.
And Mikayla? She's all about the Reese's Puffs cereal. (excuse the lousy pictures... Mikayla took them at 6:30 in the a.m.)
Num Yummy!
All gone!
The other neat thing about doing this review is that it brought to me information that I wasn't even aware of, terrible mom that I am. Did you know that General Mills cereals are made with whole grains? Yes, they are!
And here's another great bit of info I found:
This week General Mills announced a commitment to further reduce sugar in cereals advertised to kids under 12 to single digit grams of sugar per serving. The company has already been reducing sugar in cereals while increasing key nutrients, such as calcium and vitamin D, and providing whole grain. To me, that is fabulous news! Kids get enough sugar from cookies, juice and things like that. It's nice knowing that their breakfast food doesn't need to have a bazillion grams of sugar for it to taste good. And I can tell you from personal experience, these cereals taste very good.
Thank you to My Blog Spark for giving me this opportunity, and a big thanks to General Mills for providing the coupons!!!
Pssst! If you love me, you might love my
I didn't know that they are reducing sugar in their cereal. I'm so glad. My kids are lovers, too.
We're boring old Cheerios fans in this house. I have to say that the Reeses cereal looks pretty tasty though.
Cereal is num yummy!! I'm weird and only like it dry though. :-)
Wow I could of used those coupons we bought 6 boxes yesterday! Thanks for the info on blog spark I just signed up. How does it work?
I try not to touch this stuff since my girls moved out...But hey if it's free now that another story and at $5.00 a box WOW!! my girls would eat Lucky Charms right from the box like a snack food...Hope your having a great day girl...Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
I love cereal, but haven't bought yummy cereal like that in forever. I like the idea of less sugar as long as they aren't substituting chemicals in its place.
My fave is cinnamon toast crunch!

The town I grew up in actually has a General Mills factory so the place randomly smells like Cheerios depending on which way the wind was blowing.
Even today I try to buy GM cereals to support the place. Ah, memories...
How cool is this! I'm a Fruit Loops gal myself! Love the stuff!
Justiney, did you have any of the storms in your area? I saw on the news tonight there was a tornado in Orlando!
Be a sweetie,

Fact: Pooba is jealous of Justine.
I like the less sugary cereals so this is great news!
Yes, I knew they were made from whole grains! I'm a bit obsessive with my whole grains.
However, I don't really ever eat cereal. At least not with milk, like most people do. I might grab a handful for a quick snack, but I really don't understand America's love of cereal.
Ooops. Sorry. This was supposed to be a positive review, right?
J~ Cereal is more like a dessert or smack for me. If I eat it for breakfast it's like eating Chinese...after an hour I'm hungry again.
When you have time...can you email me how Spark Blog works after the sign up?
Sweet wishes,
