Jill was really upset that she couldn't really afford to buy me gifts this year. No matter how many times I told her that mattered little to me it didn't make a difference. I finally told her, "The only thing I want from you this year is a letter."
Jill: *crickets*
Me: "Just write me a damn letter, professing your undying love and I'll be happy!"
I thought she'd forgotten about it.
She didn't.
On Christmas Eve she gave me this.
Okay, yeah, the print is so frickin' small I can barely read it so there's no way you can. So, I shall type it out for you.
Justine,
You are beautiful and an amazing woman.
You are giving and always express your love.
You are loyal, someone I can always count on.
You're always the first to try and pick me up after I have fallen.
You wipe my tears away and allow me to cry on your shoulder.
You have taught me to keep going even after I have made the wrong turn.
You make me smile even when I feel nothing but pain.
You make me feel strong when I feel no strength.
When I am lonely you are always there to speak.
You show no judgment and you accept me for the person I am.
I am blessed to have a sister like you,
bur more blessed because I have been given a forever best friend!
I love you Justine!
(It was easy to say)
Love, Jill
So yeah, Jill gave me just about the best present in the whole world this Christmas. Her love, pure and true. I sat on the couch, amidst the chaos of the kids and adults opening presents, and as I read, my lips started to tremble, my nose started to run and I had trouble even saying thank you. Everyone was like, "Read it to us! Read it to us!" and I was all, "Errr... I can't! Someone else will have to read it to you."
Thank you so much, Sis. I love you so much. (and it was even easier for me to say! HA!)
Now that we've all had a good sob, let's see the other side of sisterly love. The side that makes you hiss with pissed-off-ness and just want to kill your sibling. Spit at them and possibly claw their eyes out. If you actually had claws.
Yeah, I think I'll stick with my kind of sisterly love.
Pssst! If you love me, you might love my
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.......that was so sweet. Gotta dab my eyes now.
Kiki
Justine your the luckiest person in the world to have a sister that loves you so much, unconditionally! That is a beautiful gift. Thanks for sharing!
Awwwwwwww!!! How sweet is that, you deserve every word Justine! It's wonderful that you have each other!
wow. I get to be the first to comment? wow I'm usually like a week behind! LOL. The funny thing about this is that jill had been telling me how stressed she was over not being able to pay for Chrismtas and I told her she would find a way... and well I think most times gifts like that are worth WAY more than the useless shit we usually buy eachother.

Strudel is a genius. You should be giving her a medal. She was clearly trying to save your lives by ridding your home of the offspring of Satan himself. Duh.
Your letter from Jill is so very sweet - and so very true! You rock. I love you guys.
Aw.
Oh my god I am in love with strudel. Seriously I need that dog in my life. That video was so dange cute! I think it's hilarious when Dozer and my cats go at it because the cats always win! LOL!
And Jill is the best! That was such a touching letter, and she is so right about having a best friend forever, that's what sisters are.
You guys are so lucky that you have each other. I got teary just reading your letter.
You have such a great sister!
Brought a tear to my eye! You two are so blessed to have each other.
Yes that made me all teary eyed! What a great sister, I am glad you have each other through thick and thin.
And again I'll say 'Wah! I want a sister!'
But honestly. That is really a nice letter. Makes my heart smile that you two have each other.
Well....I came over to say I loved your "WHEN you get it" remark in your comment to me..... and found this sweetiest thing I've ever read.
Ya'll both are so blessed to have each other. I always wanted a sis...I do have a brother, for which I am thankful.
Are you still doing the "you know what?"
That made me all weepy! Beautiful, Justine. I love your sister bond!!!
Wow, what a beautiful gift, from your sister.....Pat H
I haven't talk to my sister for 3 years!
Aww! I got all misty!
What a great letter. I know you'll treasure that letter; what a fantastic gift.
Ha; you can see that Strudel and Simmie really love each other. *snicker*
AWWWWWWWWWWW! What a thoughtful present. I can't believe that she would stress over not being able to buy YOU a gift. What a sweetie she is:) Thank God for sisters!
Sniff, sniff, wipe, blow, sniff again... What a wonderful gift!
Now Strudel... Love that dog! You're going to think this is the craziest, nuttiest, most ridiculous thing you've ever heard because I know what a handful Strudel has been. BUT... If you would get a second dog you would be FREE! Free as in free of all of Stru's wild, roundbunctious (sp?) self. I always get dogs in pairs because I learned the hard way. When you have two, they completely wear each other out, they play together all the time, they're not looking for kids, humans, furniture, and other valuables to chew on because they have each other to chew on. You can even throw them in the yard to play together and don't have to worry about them getting lonely or scared. I have six dogs! Trust me! I'm just sayin'....
Sisterly Love
always the right size ...always the right color...Perfect gift!
Sisterly Love
always the right size ...always the right color...Perfect gift!
Now THAT was awfully nice. What a great gift.
Now,might I suggest you stop inferring that she is stupid?
Just a thought.
Oh, that was REALLY sweet!!! Way to go Jill! You described Justine just the way I imagine her!
AWWWWWWWWWWW! That is the BEST. Present. EVER. You two are SO lucky to have each other - I wish my sister lived in the same state as me so I could enjoy her sisterliness. :)
Loved that video of Strudel annoying the cat - hilarious!!
How special Justine...I always wanted a sister only had rotten brothers to boss me around ha ha!!
Thanks for coming by and what do you mean my record player sounded terrible I want to hear what you sound like at 130 year old ha ha!!
Thanks for coming by girl...May you and Jill have a great weekend....Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
My sister is a butt! Yours is so nice, and sweet.
Mine--she is self centered, selfish, and immature. She is 50 years old, so she will never get it.
She really really makes me hiss!
lol...after your comment to "Sweet Nothings" I HAD to come and see who you were..hahaha...the comment you left her made me giggle...Happy Sunday...
I love you too sis and by the way you made a typo in my LETTER! LOL!
That is awesome!
J...this made me sooooo misty. I talk with my sis everyday, but I haven't seen her since the wedding over two years ago. There is nothing greater than the unconditional love of a sister.
I think Jill's gift is "PRICELESS!"
Sweet wishes,
Sara
BEAUTIFUL!
Awwww - what a wonderful gift from Jill! You two are so lucky to have each other!
